100 reasons to go for your goal

Yeah! Thank you! Awesome!

Reaching 100 followers by the end of the year was a goal I set during Blogging 201 and I MADE IT 🙂

Accomplishment is a great feeling best to be shared.  Even if you hit 100 eons ago or are waiting for your moment – you all totally get it. I have found, in this community, there is no accomplishment to small or too big – share and be proud 🙂

100 reasons

Putting Planning into Practice

I need to get my focus on.

I’ve learned so many wonderful things from Blogging U and other bloggers and it’s time I actually make that knowledge useful.

So I’m going to use December to ramp up to 2015; get all my ducks in a row; cross my t’s and dot my i’s; and whatever other cliche’s that suggest I’m going to buckle down and get serious.

I Love You Blog

I didn’t know how much I was loving blogging until I couldn’t do it for 3 weeks.  The pain of being ripped away from a habit I had only developed over a month was surprising. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ever the optimist, I used what down time I had to work on my stories; kinda the reason I started blogging in the first place – to create a writing habit. I wasn’t online but, really, what can compare to paper and pen other than a higher word count in a shorter amount of time? Ok…higher word count..shorter amount of time….love it, but pen and paper are still sweet.

I’m also disappointed to have missed most of Blogging 101…super sad about that actually. When I decided to restart my blog, to create this writing habit because I want to write for a living – btw I do a mean press release if you need one 😉 – I stumbled upon Blogging 201. Blogging 201 is really brand based so I figured I should have at least some knowledge of the first installment before venturing into the next so I wasn’t completely lost. Crash Course was the only way to go. (Also how I made it through most of College 😛 so I knew I was capable.)

I did that, then took Blogging 201 and met some great people. Then! Blogging 101 was being offered up again! And some of the people I had met were taking it! I really thought I had hit the perfect balance of all that I needed to feel supported in the best ways and to learn how to create something I could really…really….get behind? worthy? other people would like?

Stick with.

I’m still not sure what I’m looking for but I know my connections are not dead. Hopefully Blogging 101 will be offered again so I can really take part but for now I’m just gonna keep moving on with all of the fantastic things I’ve learned so far, with all of the fantastic people I’ve already found.

Let the games begin!

With every game there is a goal.  Without one, how could claim to be a winner?  In the opener of Blogging 201 my first task is to think about the goals for my blog.  Thinking with focus!

So here are my three goals I hope will take me from Zero to Hero;

1. I would like to have 100 followers by the end of 2014.

2. I will create a Feature Post for my blog by Nov. 2nd

3. I will refine my focus and have an Editorial Calendar created by Nov. 2. The Calendar will take me through the end of the year.

Extra goal: Once I’ve completed #2 and #3 (their only two weeks away) come up with two goals to take their spot to be completed by the end of 2014.

I’m still not entirely sure where me and my blog are going, but life’s a journey, not a destination. I hope with focusing on branding and growth I will learn about what i want to say.  I don’t want to be a blathering numbskull who blows up your reader every 20 mins. I want to learn to write what I really want to say and hope you enjoy and look forward to my posts.
